This Week’s Big Sporting Events

This week is jam-packed with sports action, from the US Open and Royal Ascot to the U-21 European Championships and tennis at Queens, plus much more in between.

Ascot

European U21 Championships

Germany and Spain are clear favourites to lift the Championships which take place in Poland between the 16th and 30th of June. However, Italy is not to be overlooked as dark horses for the title. The Italians have won the tournament on five occasions in the past (1992, 1994, 1996, 2000 and 2004), and have a very talented squad heading into the 2017 edition.

Aegon Championships, Queens Club

The warm-up to Wimbledon, the Aegon Championship is a great opportunity to catch some of the world’s finest tennis talent as we head into the grass season. Often a good indicator of form ahead of the game’s most coveted grand slam, this year’s championship at Queens will be hotly contested.

Confederations Cup

The football season is all but over, with the Confederations Cup in Russia the finale on the football calendar. The tournament rarely makes headlines but this year throws up some intriguing fixtures with Portugal, Germany, Russia, and Chile among the eight teams battling it out for the trophy.

Rugby Union

June 24th hosts the epic showdown between British & Irish Lions and New Zealand. The Tourists go into the clash off the back of a convincing win over the Chiefs, while the All Blacks gave their Samoan neighbours a humbling 78-0 whipping last week. Should be a great spectacle!

Cricket

England take on South Africa in Twenty20 internationals on June 21st, 23rd and 25th, while the Women’s Cricket World Cup kicks-off on June 24th and runs until July 23rd. Take advantage of all the latest offer and betting odds while you can!
