Most inspirational women in football

Men’s football is enormously popular in the world. Leagues like the Premier League and the Championship are being religiously followed by a huge number of people. Enthusiastic fans of these leagues take it to the next level by actively participating in the matches through sports betting, which has become all the more popular due to their welcome bonuses and offers.

However, women’s football is witnessing a great progress too, with a large audience now tuning in to see their female football stars in action.

1- Megan Rapinoe

In women football Megan Rapinoe has carved out a big name for herself, not only through her on-pitch brilliance but also through her off-pitch contributions too. She lifted the recent World Cup trophy for the US national soccer team and was also named the tournament’s best player.

The star footballer has openly revealed her lesbian, plus she is a vocal LGBTQ+ advocate. Rapinoe represents a strong, independent woman who fiercely fights for her rights, and is a huge inspiration for women around the world.

She has announced her retirement from professional football in January 2020. However, she has been an active figure in the industry, with the British-Nigerian writing in the Guardian newspaper and also appearing on the television as a pundit. Her punditry has been praised by other experts like Henrik Larsson and Patrice Evra.
