What we learned from NFL Week 13

It’s the gaming season, and everyone is busy discussing or playing games. Games are a great way to pass your leisure time and occupy yourself with something relaxing. When we talk about games, our mind pictures league games like football, soccer, and whatnot. However, many online games are introduced now that you can play indoors. The most famous example is online casinos. Sfgate has some suggestions for platforms that are the best rated online pokies Australia providing you with a safe gaming environment. Speaking of bonuses, week 13 of the 2022 NFL season has begun; hence, the bonus fun begins too. The Buffalo Bills won their first division game of the season on Thursday night when they beat the Patriots in New England.

On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Tennessee Titans to keep their winning streak going. The team of New York Giants and Washington Commanders went to overtime in their divisional game, and the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Jets had a crazy fourth quarter.

Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, came back from an 11-game suspension for violating NFL’s conduct policy by committing sexual assault. However, when the Browns played the Houston Texans, the defense and special teams stood out. Even though QB Lamar Jackson got hurt, the Baltimore Ravens still beat the Denver Broncos.

The Cincinnati Bengals beat the Kansas City Chiefs again in the late afternoon, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Miami Dolphins but lost their quarterback, and the Seattle Seahawks beat the Los Angeles Rams with a late touchdown to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers don’t have a game this week, but they will play again in Week 14.

Our NFL Nation reporters talk about what they learned from this week’s games, what questions they still have, and what’s coming up next. Let’s get to it.

Giants

It helped the Giants a little, but most of the goodwill from their 7-2 start has worn off now. The Giants lost a lead in the fourth quarter and haven’t won a game in three weeks, so they are now long shots to make the playoffs. In the NFC East, the Giants are only a half-game ahead of the Commanders. Because they don’t have many good players, this team is running out of steam. The defense, in particular, could not stop Taylor Heinicke and the Commanders late in regulation.

Will the Giants sign Odell Beckham Jr. to help them make the playoffs and go further? On Thursday and Friday, Beckham went to see the Giants. After that, he went to Buffalo, and the Cowboys played on Monday. Beckham wants to return to New York, where he started his career and still has some business to take care of. But do the Giants want to give Beckham the money he thinks he deserves? This season, GM Joe Schoen has been cautious with money. It’s hard to see that suddenly changing. — Jordan Raanan

Vikings

What you need to know: The Vikings won another close, nail-biting game last week. Their 10th win of the season came against the Jets on Sunday. All but one of their wins have been by a single score. The rules of this game were standard. Sunday’s win was decided by a 10-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to Justin Jefferson in the middle of the fourth quarter. However, the game wasn’t over until the Vikings’ defense stopped two red zone drives by the Jets in the last two minutes. The Jets had 199 more yards than the Vikings, which shows how much control the Jets had over the game in the second half. However, the Vikings still did enough to improve to 10-2.

How should we think about Cousins’ performance? The Jets’ defense put pressure on Cousins and struck him, so he threw thirty-five passes but only gained 173 yards. That includes the 45 yards that Jefferson got from his seven catches. It was hard work, and the fact that more passes than usual were not on target will be talked about a lot in the coming week. But on the most crucial drive of the game, when Jefferson scored the game-winning touchdown, he completed all five passes for 62 yards. That’s what you should keep in mind. — Kevin Seifert

Jets

What You Need to Know: Mike White was excellent in his second race but not significant enough to pull off a miracle win. White had two great chances in the last two minutes to score the touchdown that would give his team a 20-3 lead, but he missed both times. It was a problem for the Jets all day, as they only scored once out of six red zone drives. White threw for 369 yards, but his first pass was picked off, and his last pass was also picked off. He got at least one more start but missed a chance to get the starting job for good.

What did the defense of the Jets do in the first half? It was a strange start for the Jets, who had trouble running the ball and got called for three penalties by their defense. They made some tremendous changes at halftime, but a seven-play, 75-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter beat them. It didn’t matter when they needed their praised defense to come through. — Rich Cimino
