U18s GB girls ball hockey team, We will be competing in the world championships in Czech Republic.

I am asking for donations to help get me out there to experience a one in a lifetime opportunity. I have worked hard to be where I am and it would be amazing to have everyone I know by my side helping me get to Czech. I am excited to be able to compete in the first ever World Championships for U18s Girls and its an honour to be picked.

Firstly, the Lions development camps have been a massive success and have shown much growth since their launch three years ago. The Lions will continue to travel to Eastern Europe to take part in training sessions and challenge games to build their junior programme in preparation for as many young ball hockey athletes as possible to become future GB Internationalist at U16 age levels and above.

This year’s most exciting project for all at BHUK is the introduction to ISBHF of Ladies Under 18 age group. Czech Republic will host the first U18 Ladies World Championships. Just like back in 2011 when the Lions where kickstarted, our Senior Ladies programme they had to pull players from across all corners of the UK to come together and represent our nation.

I have been playing roller hockey for around 3 years, ice hockey for around 2 years and ball hockey around 1 year. Throughout the years I have gained skill and abilities I never thought I could have and now I will be representing my country in Czech Republic. Unfortunately Ball Hockey isn’t a funded sport yet so i have to pay for everything, this includes my kit, my flights to and from Czech, my transport, accommodation and my entry fee for the tournament.

People have recently asked me why am I paying out all this money for a tournament that I can go to year after year. I do it because I want to kick start the sport I want it to become as big as Ice Hockey and Field Hockey in the UK. I want the Lions Development squads to become something big. I never thought that this sport would ever go as big as it has done, but I am now competing in the Ball Hockey World Championships.

Anything that you can donate will be appreciated very much Please help me to get to Czech.

Thank you for reading my story.
