My name is Gethin Lloyd Evans, as most of you will know I am currently studying Paramedic Science in Swansea University and playing rugby league for the university. Through playing for the university side I have been given the opportunity to train and play for Wales students.

Having always been a passionate rugby fan and Welshman having the chance to represent my country is a great honor.

We are currently preparing for the Students Rugby League World Cup, hosted by Australia in Sydney, July 2017. Sadly, The Rugby Football League has confirmed that it is withdrawing £70,000 funding to Wales Rugby League for junior development. This means we students have to find our own funding to attend this prestigious, life changing event.

I have to contribute £3000 which is a challenge due to university, placement, training and playing commitments. An added pressure on myself being a “mature” student is the fact that I am self funding my studies.

So…… I need £3000 to secure my attendance at the 2017 Rugby World Cup. With your help,  I will be able to proudly represent Wales Rugby League through the Student Rugby World Cup.

I understand there are many worthwhile causes that you could contribute your money towards, because of this I have decided to pledge an hours volunteering to different charities for every £50 raised. You can give as much or as little as you want, just click “Support (Choose Your Own Payment)”.

If you would like for me to represent your company for a sponsorship there is an option for you to do so, I will link your company and promote over all my social media platforms.

Thank you for taking the time to read and help me on my way to the Rugby World Cup.
