Monmouthshire Pony Club members, Ben Hopkins, Erin Beach, Emily Norton, Emma Lockyer and George Knight Eddins have fulfilled a lifetime dream of reaching the Horse of The Year Show Mounted Games Finals. This is a prestigious event where top riders from all over the world compete.

These youngsters have trained since a young age with this goal in mind, they have travelled the length and breadth of the country gaining valuable experience with the dream that one day they might be lucky enough to gain a place at the show of the year.

On Sunday July 5th they competed in the zone final at Taunton Racecourse, with only the winners taking home the golden ticket. It was a close fought battle, but the team came out victorious and are now going to fulfil their dreams and ride in the Prince Philip Cup Final in October at the Horse of The Year Show.

To send this team we have started fundraising to be able to give them everything they deserve. Their hard work for the last 10 years has been unquestionable.

The riders are already thinking of great ideas to help fundraise themselves; they are going to go bag packing in a local supermarket, they are making bracelets to sell, and have started a guess the teddies name game.

Butwe really need to raise a significant amount of money to fulfil this lifetime ambition, and every penny will make all the difference, if you can donate and help us reach our goal we would be over the moon!
