My name is Amelia Bissett and I am 12 years old and come from Wiltshire in the UK.

I am a tennis player training at the Team Bath MCTA International Tennis Academy, and I go to Ralph Allen School near to my training centre, so that I can train during and after school.

I train 5 days a week, which includes strength and Conditioning, Tennis, Stretching Programme and Fitness Programme.

It is very tough, but if I want to succeed I know I have to work hard every minute of the day at my academics and my tennis programme.

I am very lucky to be training at Team Bath MCTA International Tennis Academy because the coaches all have great personalities and we all have great fun together, while always working hard and supporting each other every step of the way.

I have been playing tennis since the age of 4 and from the day I started I knew this was the sport for me. At the age of 7 I played my first proper tennis tournament and surprisingly won it!

I have had so many great successes in 2015, including winning three 12U National Tennis Tour doubles titles and getting to the semi final of 12U Masters at the National Tennis Centre in London.

During the summer I reached two 12U finals and semi-finals at national level. I also made the semi-finals of the 12U Nationals in the girls singles and to finish off my successful summer I went on to win the 12U girls singles Babolat Cup in September.

2015 has been a incredible year for me but a very costly one and this is where your help can make me achieve my greatest dream and ambition to be a professional tennis player in the years to come.

I am at present the number 2 in the country for U12 girls and have a Tennis Europe ranking of 253. I am only 12 and my goal for 2016 is to reach the top 150, but to do this I need to travel to tournaments all over Europe and I need your help to raise funds to do that.

From my achievements you can see that I have had a lot of success against the best junior tennis player in Europe.

So please if you can contribute in any possible way, whether it is small or big, it will make a massive improvement to my tennis career,

Thank you.

Achievements in 2015

2015 was an incredible year for me because I had loads of great successes. In the summer I was selected as one of three girls to play for Great Britain in the Summer Cup team. We played the qualifying rounds in the Netherlands against three other countries, which we won, so then we played the finals in Corsica where we came 7th out of 32 countries. It was an amazing experience for me and we had loads of fun and a great challenge! In November I got to the quarter finals of Tennis Europe 14U singles at the National Tennis Centre in London and beat the number 1 seed in the second round of the Main Draw. I played a Tennis Europe in Maglie, Italy and got to the semi-finals of the 12U singles and the final of the 12U doubles. I then played a Tennis Europe in Koper, Slovenia and got to the quarter-finals of the 12U singles and got to the semi-finals of doubles. In the summer I then played in Halton, UK in a Tennis Europe and got to the quarter finals of the 12U singles and won the 12U doubles. In November I was selected to play against France in the 13U friendly which we won! In December I was then picked to go for a training week in La Manga, Spain with the LTA, I had a great time and really enjoyed the hard work.
