My name is Adam Hall. I’m an athlete and my sport is judo, in which I compete at -100KG for Great Britain (GB).

I’m 26 years old, born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne and moved to Bath at the age of 19 to join the judo program at the University of Bath to train full time. I train 2-3 times a day and I’m also a qualified judo coach, coaching judo to children and adults, and occasionally working as a teaching assistant. I am also working most evenings as door security at venues in Bath.

All that is how I earn enough to scrape by and have the flexibility to go to training and competitions. I’m starting this fundraising project because like many of the GB Judo Squad I’m completely self-funded and receive no financial support from British Judo or UK sport.

The funds raised here will be put towards my goal of qualifying for the 2016 Olympics in Rio so I can fight for the Gold for Team GB. The funds will be used to attend international training camps so I can get the highest quality training partners there is and, more importantly, to get to and from the qualifying tournaments that take place across the globe.

The more fights and medals I win at these tournaments, the more world ranking points I will get and the further up the rankings table I will go. I need to be in the top 22 on the world ranking list before 1st May 2016 to qualify a spot for GB.

It’s my dream to qualify for, fight at and win at the Olympic Games and this is where YOU come in. You can help me get there be pledging any amount, no matter how small, and by spreading the word.
