Helping others by sharing my passion, experience and knowledge to shape their futures in sport:

Rugby has always been my passion, the rugby ball is an extension of me.  My attitude towards rugby is one of discipline, hard work and teamwork.  Building relationships and bettering not only myself, but my team.  I have been playing rugby since I was 6 years old – I am now 16.  I play a variety of rugby – county, club and college – I effectively eat, breathe and sleep rugby!  Over the past 4 years I have had the honour of representing my county of Essex as a scrum half (number 9) in the County Player Development Programme and the Essex Saracens PDG squad.  I am essentially the link between the back line and the forward pack.  The development of my game is something I take very seriously as well as my fitness.  Currently I train 3 times a week and also go to the gym 3 times a week to work on my strength and conditioning.  I have to be really disciplined in the way I look after my mind and body.

I am passionate about imparting this knowledge and sharing my journey with others too – I have just enrolled onto a Sports and Exercise Science course at College, hoping to continue to share my experiences and knowledge with others by furthering my academic education in the sporting field which is just as important as the rugby.

I am currently raising money towards a trip of a lifetime – a trip to South Africa – not only to play against some of their best schools and colleges but also to share my passion and thirst for rugby and how it has transformed my life and outlook on life with some of the underprivileged children across several parts of Cape Town and surrounding areas.  I will be involved in running mini and youth training sessions and workshops in townships for children living in poverty.  Sharing with them the great game that is rugby and showing them that becoming involved in sport is something that can have a huge impact on people’s lives and how they view themselves and their future.

Please help me to get to South Africa to take part in this enormously valuable opportunity.  Thank you!
