Our Journey

We train, we play, we sacrifice, we give our full commitment to represent Team Ireland at the Six Nations Hockey Tournament in Eindhoven, Holland in July 2019.

However, we need your help to make our dreams come true. As fellow sportsmen and sportswomen and supporters you are aware that getting to any tournament not only requires commitment and dedication but financial support too.

We, Team Ireland U18 Boys Hockey Team are seeking your support to help fund our #RoadToEindhoven

We are a group of elite Hockey Players, representing Leinster, Munster and Ulster forming Team Ireland. In representing your country, each player is asked to pay/fundraise a large amount of money. Currently there is no funding available for Ireland JAG (Junior Age Groups).

We as a squad stand shoulder to shoulder and represent a very talented group of Hockey Players in Ireland at U18 age group. Our team includes representatives who have won gold and silver medals in national and provincial competitions.

Its an incredible honor to be selected, but each player has to contribute/fundraise over €3,500 (per player) to take part in the full program.

Our parents are extremely supportive of us both, as individuals and teammates giving their emphatic support, helping us to reach our targets and dreams. But to play a part in this amazing journey we are seeking assistance from you in which would help with the financial pressure of our families. The overall target for our fundraising appeal is €25,000.

Why would you want to support Team Ireland | U18 Boys Hockey? We have a lot of reasons but the main ones are:

 Your Support

  • Will help dedicated young Hockey Players who commit with hard work, passion and dedication to compete against the best Nations in Europe.
  • Will give us the opportunity to purchase training and tactical analysis equipment so that we can further develop our skills and monitor player’s health.
  • Will go towards our travel, accommodation and tournament entry fees.
  • Will go towards team clothing and protective gear.
  • Will go towards the full program including pre-tournament match series’ with other High Performance Teams in preparation for the Six Nations tournament July 2019.

All of the above will allow us to look, feel, perform and compete like a National Team.

We thank you for taking the time to read our story and watching our video. Again we appreciate all the support that we currently receive from family and friends, but your support will offer us the ability to rise to the next level, enabling each and every one of us to fulfill our goals as an elite athlete. All funds raised will go exclusively to Team Ireland | U18 Boys Hockey.
