Hi everyone. My name is Ariya Harris. I am a 12 year old student-athlete.

As many of you know, I’ve spent the last 7 years training and competing as a gymnast, but what you might no know is that I have now taken that passion and determination to the Volleyball court.

I played a season of Volleyball at Mann Middle School. It was amazing. The competition, the time spent with my teammates and just learning the game was an awesome experience.

I really felt as though volleyball was a sport that I could be successful at up to and through the collegiate level. I talked to a family friend who coaches a high school team and she explained that the best training I could get would be with a Club Volleyball team.

I asked my family to sign me up for  tryouts at Tampa United Volleyball 13U, where they only take the best of the best, and I MADE IT!! I was super-excited! Until, I found out the cost. =(

I am a straight A student, I am my homeroom Class President, I volunteer at my church and I attend my Church’s youth group and in about another month, I’m going to be a big sister again. This time to twins.

My family decided that they wanted me to have this opportunity to train and compete at the highest level so we accepted a roster spot with the 13 and under team.

I’m hoping that with your support, I can take full advantage of this opportunity to jump start a long and successful Volleyball career.

I promise to train hard, study hard and pray hard to be the best that I can be and make all of you proud.
