Juventus – 62 Trophies
Juventus is by far the most successful club in Italian football history. They have won 33 Serie A titles, 12 Italian Cups, 7 Italian Super Cups, 2 European Cups, 3 UEFA Cups, 1 Cup Winners Cup, 2 UEFA Super Cups and two Intercontinental Cups. They have won Serie A for the last six years in a row.
Manchester United – 68 Trophies
Manchester United is the most successful British Club domestically with 20 Premier League titles but they are behind Liverpool in Europe with 3 Champions League crowns. They have lifted the FA Cup 12 times, 4 League Cups, 21 FA Community Shields, 1 Cup Winners Cup, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 Intercontinental Cup and 1 Club World Cup & 1 Uefa Europa League trophy among others. Don’t forget their famous treble in 1999, where they captured the Champions league, the FA Cup and the Premier League trophies.
Bayern Munich – 69 Trophies
Germany’s FC Bayern Munich are a club who have numerous records to their name. They’re the only Bundesliga side on this table and remain one of the three best footballing sides in world football. With 53 major trophies and 16 other club trophies, they’re one of the most successful European sides ever.
Porto – 74 Trophies
Porto is one of the “Big Three” teams in Portugal – together with Lisbon-based rivals Benfica and Sporting CP. Porto is the second most decorated team in Portugal, with a total of 74 official trophies. 67 were achieved in domestic competitions and comprise 27 league titles (five of which were won consecutively between 1994–95 and 1998–99, a Portuguese football record), 16 Taça de Portugal (seven of which included in a double), 4 Campeonato de Portugal, and a record 20 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira.
Benfica – 81 Trophies
The Portuguese giants, SL Benfica, might not be the most famous side in world football right now but are the club that won the most number of domestic league titles in Portugal with a mind-boggling 35 titles. Haven’t been able to replicate the kind of domestic form into Europe of late, they’ve only won the European Cup 2 times and that was back in 1960/61 and 1961/62.
Real Madrid – 85 Trophies
Real Madrid are one of the best and most successful football clubs in Europe, they are also the most successful club in the Champions League with 12 crowns to their name. In 2016, they lifted their most recent crown. The La Liga giants have also won 33 League titles, 19 Copa del Rey Cups, 9 Spanish Super Cup and 1 Spanish League Cup. They have also lifted 2 UEFA Cups, 3 UEFA Super Cups, 3 Intercontinental Cups and 1 Club World Cup among others.
Barcelona- 87 Trophies
Domestically, Barcelona has won 24 La Liga, 29 Copa del Rey, 12 Supercopa de España, 3 Copa Eva Duarte and 2 Copa de la Liga trophies, as well as being the record holder for the latter four competitions.
In international club football, Barcelona has won twenty European and World titles: four UEFA Champions League titles and one European Cup, a record four UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, a joint record five UEFA Super Cup, a record three Inter-Cities Fairs Cup and a joint record three FIFA Club World Cup. They are the battling to the best team not in in Spain but Europe and the World. They have still some catching up to do to reach Real Madrid’s impressive 12 Champions league crowns.
Celtic – 103 Trophies
Celtic have won the Scottish league championship on 48 occasions, most recently in the 2016–17 season, the Scottish Cup 37 times and the Scottish League Cup 17 times. They are the first ever Scottish side to win the European Cup back in 1967. Celtic also reached the 1970 European Cup Final, and the 2003 UEFA Cup Final.
Rangers – 119 Trophies
It may come as a surprise to many people, but Rangers have dominated their domestic league for years and with that comes plenty of trophies. Rangers have won more league titles and trebles than any other club in the world, winning the league title 54 times, the Scottish Cup 33 times and the Scottish League Cup 27 times, and achieving the treble of all three in the same season seven times. They are now the most successful football clubs in Europe and the world, having won 119 trophies in total.
