Good news! It’s ski season and we’ve found the perfect destination for your skiing holiday this winter.
How would you like to head out to the Swiss Alps and enjoy some of the best slopes in the world? The high-altitude peaks and soft, fresh snow offer one of the best skiing experiences anywhere. Surrounded by stunning scenery, a ski-trip in Switzerland will make you the envy of your friends.
So why not take them with you. There are plenty of reasons why you should.
Top-Quality Ski Resorts
Swiss ski resorts have a glowing reputation for providing first-class skiing and hospitality to match. It’s not just the slopes that a perfect, the facilities, catering and instructors are all top-quality as well.
St. Moritz is famed for being the first commercial ski resort, but the glitz and glamour is shared among several other Swiss resorts these days. And there are plenty of top-rated ski resorts in Switzerland to enjoy.
Saas Fee and Gstaad are great for celebrity spotting, but if you want to hit slopes that are fit for a King, head to Verbier – the so-called VIPs playground. Verbier is where Prince William and Prince Harry go skiing (wink). The Beckhams, Leonardi DiCaprio and Richard Branson are fans as well!
Verbier – Ski Resort
Although the ski slopes in Switzerland are ideal for experienced and professional skiers, the Swiss Alps do offer plenty of opportunities for children and beginners of all ages.
The top resorts have child-friendly nursery slopes that are run by professional ski instructors. Many resorts have ski schools so that parents can leave their kids in safe hands whilst you head for the white-capped hills.
When you go skiing in Switzerland, you can really do it in style. Literally. All the top resorts are decked with luxury chalets like at Ski Armadillo where you can combine a five-star service with sensational food in a perfect setting.
Excellent Transport Hubs
Flights to Geneva or Zurich from the UK cost around £250. Once you arrive, you can seamlessly take the train from the airport to your resort – and bang on time. The Swiss transport system has a reputation for being prompt even in bad weather.
The Swiss rail network is well connected and takes you through some of the most stunning mountain scenery you are ever likely to witness. If your hotel doesn’t arrange to collect you from the train station, you will not have any problems flagging a taxi either. They will be waiting for you outside.
Skiing In Switzerland – Better Than Your Expect
When most people book a skiing holiday, they adopt the attitude of “let’s make the most of this” and “hope for the best”. When people come back from a skiing holiday in Switzerland, they know the experience was better than they ever expected.
